Destination: Java

People say that summer is all about the beach, the sun, the fun. The daisy dukes, the bikinis, the swimsuits, the sunglasses. Well, my summer was not spent that way.

The first two weeks of my summer break, I spent it mostly with my friends. Malls, movies, then watching world cup matches at night. But then, on the 28th of June, my road trip starts. Together with my family, my mom, dad, and my sister, we head to Central Java.

Our main destination is Solo and Jogjakarta, since my parents had to attend a wedding in Solo and I had to attend a retreat in Jogja. But along the way, we stopped by different cities and just basically tasting every bit of culture and uniqueness of each city. Here are the photos that I'd like to share. A little bit of everything.

Keraton Solo

Pasar Triwindu, Solo.
A vintage market. Everything from secondhand batik cloths to vintage clocks and cameras.

 Museum R. A. Kartini, Rembang.

The smallest town I've ever been to: Lasem.

Klenteng at Semarang.

Lunpia Semarang Sauce. Icky sticky.

 The Teens Ministry at Jogja.

Visited Akademi Militer, Magelang.
Our President, SBY, went to school there.
Last night in Malioboro.

I head home, to Jakarta, on the 9th of July. And yes, the trip was extremely tiring. I got sick due to exhaustion once I reach home.

Sadly, throughout the trip, I didn't take that much photos since I was kinda in a photography breakdown mode and now I kinda regret it. I've lost a lot of important moments that I should have captured, especially the scenery in each places that I step on. But now I realize that I should start maximizing the use of my 500D. So please do expect more posts!

Lots of <3
