Four Eyed Dalek

Generosity saved me. After a year leaving my black and white film unprocessed, my friend offered to process it together with his black and white film. I hate the fact that the nearby Fujifilm doesn't process black and white film. So here are the photos taken by my Green Dalek Supersampler during my vacation in Bali, 2009. I just love how grainy they turn out and how there are blobs and scratches everywhere!

This new baby of mine arrived a month ago. Holga 135BC + 15B flash + Wide Lens purchased through Yudayyy.

A little bit in regret because a few weeks after my Holga arrived, the Diana Mini En Rose was released. I really want a pink lomo but I don't fancy the medium format Diana F+ Mr. Pink. So here are some of the best pictures from the first two rolls.

The Perfect Getaway

I've always said at the end of each post that I would say 'expect more posts!' but in the end, I never did post. Even during my holidays.

To be honest, I have been extremely busy. Since the first day of school of this new academic year (2010/2011), I have not had decent amount of free-time and good night's sleep. It's all school work and Student Council works. Though I had a getaway for a week to Singapore, to join the IYLF (International Young Leaders Forum), it was even harder once I got back from SG. I had to catch up a pile of quizzes and lab activities but in the end, I managed to handle everything back to its place.

There were a lot of things that had happened since the last time I posted here, but I guess I'll just start off with this. My Lebaran break.

My family and I, had a two days one night trip to Tanjung Lesung Beach, Banten. It took us 4 hours to get there. It wasn't very crowded and it was clearly obvious that the place is not really known to most tourists around. Once we got there, we stride along the beach and went snorkeling. Yes, at 12 noon. The sun was shining so bright that I can really feel the burn.

It was a coral beach and there weren't much waves. Blame the season, I guess. The sand was white, the sky was blue. It was just the perfect beach I have been longing to see. I had the chance to lie down on the sand and I could really see how the blue sky is a vast, abstract land full of dreams. It didn't seem real at all.

Despite the horrible hotel service and food, and also the rainy weather, it was a memorable trip. The white sand, the corals, the blue waters and sky became my perfect getaway.

People say that summer is all about the beach, the sun, the fun. The daisy dukes, the bikinis, the swimsuits, the sunglasses. Well, my summer was not spent that way.

The first two weeks of my summer break, I spent it mostly with my friends. Malls, movies, then watching world cup matches at night. But then, on the 28th of June, my road trip starts. Together with my family, my mom, dad, and my sister, we head to Central Java.

Our main destination is Solo and Jogjakarta, since my parents had to attend a wedding in Solo and I had to attend a retreat in Jogja. But along the way, we stopped by different cities and just basically tasting every bit of culture and uniqueness of each city. Here are the photos that I'd like to share. A little bit of everything.

I head home, to Jakarta, on the 9th of July. And yes, the trip was extremely tiring. I got sick due to exhaustion once I reach home.

Sadly, throughout the trip, I didn't take that much photos since I was kinda in a photography breakdown mode and now I kinda regret it. I've lost a lot of important moments that I should have captured, especially the scenery in each places that I step on. But now I realize that I should start maximizing the use of my 500D. So please do expect more posts!

It's June and my blog is still being abandoned.

Honestly, I've forgotten the essence of updating this blog. I've been just so busy with a lot of things and to that, I have to set aside my hobbies. Photography, writing and sketching. But amazingly, something happened today.

I was just stumbling upon Cotton Ink's new web store with my mom. As I went through the Blog Story, I was amused by the photos posted on the post regarding the launching of the new web store. I scrolled down and found "Photos courtesy of Andra Alodita (alodita.blogspot.com) and COTTON INK." Immediately I copy-paste the URL of her blog to my browser's address bar and hit enter.

I browsed through her blog, pages by pages. Her photos and posts became an instant obsession to me. In short, seeing her artworks somehow inspire and motivate me to go back to blogging and become passionate again about photography. I've set aside my love for art and photography oh so long and now, I would like to pay that back.

I've realized that in life, there's so much more than just achieving your goals and ambitious dreams. You just have to follow your heart. I can say that some of my ambitious dreams, academic wise, have been achieved. But sadly, my truest passionate dreams of being an artist have just been set aside for too long. Therefore, I would like to start now. With this blog.

Okay, not literally now. But I sure will, soon. Most probably tomorrow.

Turning Sixteen

My birthday was on the 20th of Jan. It has been 7 days since, but I'm still going to write about it anyway. So since the morning of that particular Wednesday, I have been expecting. Expecting for what? Surprises. But sadly, not everything went as how I'd expect it to be. My parents didn't congratulate me in the morning, but all of my friends and teachers did, at school. Which is quite exciting. Once I got home, my parents sang me Happy Birthday, gave me a card, and yeah. That's pretty much it. But they promised me to take me to dinner. So they did. At first, they wanted to take me to this French restaurant, but then suddenly they changed their plan, and told me 'Let's just go to PIM instead. We don't have enough time to rush to the French restaurant.' I tried to understand, but still, I was quite pissed.

Once we got to PIM, we stride along the Restaurant Row, and decided to eat at Takigawa. I put up a frown the whole time I was there. I was obviously not happy and felt so disappointed. I finished eating, and suddenly my friends came. They brought me a cupcake with candles and sang me Happy Birthday. Surprisingly, V was there too :) I was ecstatic and extremely speechless. I didn't even had the strength to say OMG. All I did was scratching my head and smiled. Haha, it was funny. Yet the best surprise ever. Though it was plainly simple. Thank you so much, Cindy, Inda, Marsha, Aldi, Dito, and Marcell :) :)

On the Friday (22/01) my school homies came over to my house and had a tiny party. Had pizza for lunch with Nabila, Icha, and Vinda plus a little photoshoot of our own at this rooftop of a building near my place.

Off to karaoke at Happy Puppy with Sylvia, Dita, Bella, Claudia, and Dito. It was a blast.

Another surprise from my lovely friends. Before they all went to the karaoke place, they stopped by my house and placed my surprise cake inside my own fridge. Once I got home, they took it out and held it out to me, singing me Happy Birthday. The cake was PINK!! And once again, I was too happy.

Thank you so much guys, for everything. Especially for making my birthday special <3 <3

My Holiday

I am extremely sorry for the absence of posts. I have been quite busy, and during the holiday, I had some issues regarding the use of my laptop. Due to that, I couldn't post anything though I really want to. So, just to catch up for awhile, here's what I did during my holiday.

I sang during the Christmas Celebration in my church. We performed the 'Joyful Joyful' song, Sister Act 2 version.

Went to Bandung after Christmas and had... quite a blast.

Since my school had a longer holiday than others, me and my friends decided to go to Dufan. It was not crowded at all, since most students had school already. Hell yeah it was fun!

And for the record, I had an awesome birthday. Should post about that soon, though it's quite late already. Oh well.

Sabbatical Day

Extremely tired since Monday. For three days, I've been practicing a dance number with a couple of friends for the Sabbatical Day held today. This time it's literary and music competition, and our number was all about interpretative dancing. And yes, we won!

Umm, PTC (Parent Teacher Conference) is tomorrow.. Can't wait to see my grades and what my Class Advisor will say to my mom about me :/ Wish me luck peeps!

Practice Makes Perfect

Exams are over, but I still got approximately one week of school. Tough as hell.

It has been quite a while since I last posted. Why? Screw First Media. Blogspot was blocked. Hence, I couldn't access my own blog and couldn't post anything here though I wanted to, badly. It sucks. I know. But it's all over now. Here I am. Posting.

Last Saturday (5/12), I came to SLI to watch Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Terrence was the main lead, so me and Bea decided to go, watch, and support him.With all the colorful lighting stuffed up in SLI's own Multi Purpose Hall, it was pretty cool. But if it was held elsewhere, in a more appropriate place, I bet it'll turn out even better. But good job, Ter! You're an awesome actor! *smiles!*

And um.. I've noticed something significant similarity between writing, blogging, playing the piano and solving Math equations. Practice makes perfect. Yes. It sounds cliche but true. When my blog was back to its accessible state, I wanted to post something right away, but on the second thought, I couldn't figure out what to post. I got a writer's block. Same as writing, same as playing the piano, and same as solving Maths. If I hadn't done writing/blogging/piano/Maths for a certain period of time, it's pretty hard to go back and do those normally. Well I'm grateful I finally got some inspirations to write about. Expect more posts coming up!

The second day of Semester Exams has passed. Now preparing for the third day which is tomorrow, covering Sociology, Biology, and Economics *phew*

Tiny characters of Spongebob and friends are the newest addition of my so-called toy collection (wait, I don't even have a toy collection. Watev). Well I received it like weeks before, but just got an idea of posting it here to play with the tone and color of the photo itself. As you can see, behind Spongebob, there's my Gundam, and behind Patrick, there's the paper origami rose from V and a paper origami heart that I made myself with a V and C writing on the back.

I was pretty mesmerized by John Mayer's new songs from his unreleased album Battlestudies, and so I did a little Google on his images and found the picture above. Then, suddenly found an inspiration of posting photos of guys behind guitars that has grabbed my soul. Matthew Bellamy, John Mayer, and V. His identity stays hidden :)

Yesterday, I had my normal school day. Had Physics Practical Exam in the morning, Sociology Test after wards, and the day was wrapped with Biology Test. After I was done doing my Biology Test, I received a text message. I thought it would be from my mom or Vodka. But it turned out to be from this random number. I opened it and it says:

GONZFEST's Lomography competition winners have been decided by the judge. First place: Talenna Fedrian (BINUS), second place:................................

I read just right up to that line and I felt blood rushing to my head and I was as ecstatic as I can be. I can't believe I wont GONZFEST's Lomography Competition! I started jumping up and down, though class wasn't over yet.

Bottom line, I'm really happy and excited :) Here are the photos that I submitted. I think Aldi's pic won (the guy jumping into the pool).

And oh, I guess I'll be attending GONZFEST by this Saturday which is tomorrow. See you there!

I think my posts are gettin lame-er and lame-er each day. But anyways, just wanna post the pics of Ria and Rico's wedding and tell something about school and.... life.

The wedding was held at Kedoya, and they both looked gorgeous. I guess that's all I can say about it heehee. And mm, school is STILL HECTIC. In fact, semester exam is NEXT MONDAY! Plus projects are piling up. Oh gosh, wish exams to be over soon.

On the other hand, I've been dealing pretty well with everything unrelated with school. And it's all because of you. Okay it might sound cliche, but it's true. You've been there through my happiest moments and saddest moments. What can I ask for more? You know who you are ;)

At first I didn't have the urge to post about my Halloween, cause I thought that the photos I took during the party didn't turn out that good. But...... guess what, I went through the Halloween album on my iPhoto just now, it looks damn fine haha. So here it is ;)

I went to SLI's Fangtastic Shocktober with my sister and Bea. We dressed up as Harajukus (well, kinda..). We couldn't think of anything else, cause we weren't really hittin on being the best costume (though I really wanted the Boys Like Girls concert tickets. Nahh, watev). The party was pretty fine and the whole haunted mansion idea was uber cool. I went home straight after wards, and couldn't stop smiling on the way home. I got a sweet goodbye :) I love you, you know who you are <3

A long long long long time since I last posted something here.. Terribly sorry, readers. I've been too busy with school. Binus is seriously turning me into a nerd.

So, a couple of updates. Last Monday (26/10) was Persie's 3rd birthday. We, as a family, didn't give her anything special though. We just congratulate her Happy Birthday without her even understanding what's the meaning of it haha. Bottomline, I love my cute mini-sized unique wiener dog :P

The Semester Exam is approaching.... very soon; in a matter of weeks. I'm utterly terrified just by reading the Exam Protocol. Darn, Binus is one hell tough school when it comes to academic excellence. Which sucks in a way, but it may be considered as an advantage for the hard-working students (like me!! *wink wink wink, grins*).

Hmm, other updates would probably be much about V. But surely I won't be talking about him that much HERE. I'll just save it for Twitter :)

The Voice Within

I am currently reading 'To Kill A Mocking Bird' by Harper Lee. It is a good book with a good load of literature that inspired me to write this post.

Well, since I was 10, I've been very interested in Indonesian Literature. Thanks for Mira Lesmana and Riri Riza's film 'Ada Apa Dengan Cinta'. I watched the movie when I was in the 2nd grade and was greatly moved by Rangga's passion for literature, especially Chairil Anwar. Since then, I started searching for Chairil Anwar's biography book entitled 'Aku'. Once I found it (it was republish due to high demand caused by the film), I just can not stop reading every bit about Chairil Anwar.

Believe it or not, reading 'Aku' developed my emo-ness. Sjuman Djaja (the writer), illustrates Chairil Anwar as an egoistic, stubborn man that speaks vivid words. I then start to write poems.

Can you imagine, me, a 10-year-old girl, sitting behind her desk at school, being drowned into her own thoughts and feelings, scribbling poems in her notebooks. I believe that I was not like most kids of my age that time, literature wise. All those years of being drenched into the world of literature developed who I am today. I consider myself as a deep thinker, and therefore at times, I could get carried away by my own feelings and thoughts. I could feel extremely remorseful when nothing that is even close to sorrow happened, and it often leads to my weakness of thinking negatively about things. I exaggerate a lot, therefore at times I make small problems big.

Okay, so what I am trying to say here is, I am just trying to explain why I can be extremely emo at times and so drenched into my own sorrows. Because often times, the closest people around me can not stop questioning why I can be so moody at times.

Bali - Towards The End

Here is the last bunch of the Bali photos. I went to watch Kecak and it was pretty cool, and then spent my last days at Bali around Kuta, Seminyak, and lastly went to Padma's beach. It was the best.. But I couldn't really capture the beauty of it, cause when I went there it was already sunset :( Oh well. At least you guys got the hang of it. I promise that I will write more next post, just feel like it.

Bali - Lotus, John Hardy, Klungkung, to Kudeta

The next afternoon, we went to Lotus, a restaurant located inside a supermarket. It's like Ranch Market Pondok Indah. It has good food (though I found a dead fly in my Potato Salad, and had it replaced with a soup that costs twice as much the salad HAHA.) and imported goods in the supermarket. But then when we decided to go to our next destination, the car broke down.. So we waited for awhile and went shopping at ByPass HAHA.

The following day, we went to Ubud to visit John Hardy's factory and showroom, then to Pasar Klungkung, and ended the day at Kudeta and Warung Sobat (somewhere at Batu Belig).

The Long Awaited Holiday

Yes yes yes. Holiday is FINALLY here!! I spent my first days of holiday with the most fun homies ever. Yeah, I'll blurb them out. Michelle, Sammy, Aldi, Dito, Marcell, Marsha, and Marco.

On Friday, we went to Ancol for Dufan. But sadly, it was surprisingly TOO CROWDED. So then we decided to ride the boat and had fun in Le Bridge :) Then the rest of the day was spent on cooking and movies. Yes, we didn't sleep. That totally adds up the fun haha.

On top of all, I'm really excited for tomorrow!! Will be heading to Bali!!!! And lastly, SELAMAT IDUL FITRI :)

Just thought it'd be nice to share a bit about the view of my room right now.

Am technically alone in my room. My sister's gone to her school's field trip. So I'm left here, with my dog (the brown little creature sleeping on top of the pillow), studying Chemistry and Maths.

I wanted to play more with my 500D, but I just couldn't. It'll be way too distracting for my study hours (though Twitter is the main distraction).

I promise more photos to come, soon. Lebaran holiday is approaching, and yes, I am leaving for Bali!!!! Totally excited. Definitely expect mooorrrreeee photos :)

(A Gundam Robot I made a couple of days back) - Total randomness.

It's really late, but I just felt like posting something, so here it is.

I've had pretty rough days with headaches, runny nose, and extreme cough. Yes, I have been sick. But then I couldn't manage to sneak out from school, cause I just can't miss any quizzes nor tests. Yeah, it's horrible. I spend 40% of my time in school with a tissue held tightly to my nose, another 40% of coughing real hard, and the remaining 20% I spent on trying real hard to cope up with the lessons.

I guess I should be heading to my bed now. I don't want to get another migraine tomorrow just because not having enough sleep. Cause that's what happened to me on Tuesday; I only slept for an hour (for certain reasons *wink*) and the next day I suffer from migraine. The pain is just so unbearable. Trust me.

Holla world!

A lot of things have been goin on and things are pretty hectic. Due to the 2 weeks away Lebaran holiday, evil teachers at school are giving crazy projects. Ergh. Just gotta cope up with it..

Anyways, I had a lot of fun last night. Spending the night with my beloved friends, doing the Sociology video project. We broke social norms at Bintaro Plaza and it was pure awesomeness :) Too many eyes were staring and our faces were far from guiltless haha.

Regarding the photos above, 1) I'm missing the band pretty bad. We haven't done any practices for awhile. Which is sad. 2) I went to an orphanage few weeks ago, and those innocent lil' tikes are just too cute!! 3) Had an accidental photoshoot of my parents. They're just two lovely lovebirds hahas. 4) Persie had one of her front legs covered up, due to infection. But now she's getting better :)

A sudden meltdown but not a total breakdown.

Stuck thinking, I am deeply mourning. All the grief, all the sorrow. At one point, I will get sick of this and say that I cannot take this anymore. I'm not always strong, I'm not always smiley.

On the bright side, at least I'm not the only one feeling the pain.

Last weekend was presumably fun. I spent both Saturday and Sunday with my 500D :) But guess what, I had a hard time trying to upload all the photos to Facebook. Thanks to my lame iPhoto. I guess I need to delete some files. My MacBook's hard drive is quite full haha.

So anyways, sorry for the lack of updates. Been busy with school. There has been a lot of things goin on, and I've been having a lot of homeworks to do at home. Updates will come one by one. Slowly but sure :)

For this time, I just want to dedicate this post to my fellow friend who's now probably already in China. I don't know if he'll be reading this or not, but oh well. He's Melvin. We just had his farewell party last Sunday, and I still cannot imagine he won't be around for the mean time :( Just wanna say good luck there and do not forget us!!

It was funnnn, yet extremely hot. The sun was soooo not compromising with our exhausted body. But overall, it was quite a success. I belonged to the House of Water, that's why I was wearing blue. And hell yeah, Water won MOST of the games :P

Self-Motivation

I started off my day with a cup of tea and a bowl of oatmeal. Spent half an hour in front of the TV, watching Discovery Channel since my AXN, Star World, and E Channel are blocked. Then I went back to my room and decided to read few chapters of Ephesians and write a bit about it.

Being pretty refreshed after being drenched in long hours of school for the past weeks, I decided to renew my goals. It used to be:

Get Baptized
Pray more
Be respectful
Get second honor
Do good in BiNus

But now, it has changed.

To WALK STRAIGHT means that I should always keep my head high and stay focus on all of my goals. Staying POSITIVE means that I should stop being negative and pessimistic about everything around me. That means I should start encouraging instead of bad-mouthing. To do more PRAY AND QUIET TIMES, since my time has been consumed primarily by school, friends, and Facebook, I need more time to be spent for my Creator. To TAKE RISKS, FACE PAIN means that I need to be brave in making decisions and face every pain as the consequences. Which means being less emo. And last, my goal since forever is to GET BAPTIZED. Aiming high this time, hope it can happen on my upcoming birthday. Crossing fingers.

So, after 4 years of waiting, I finally got my own DSLR camera. It is some kind of a gift I get from my parents for achieving Third Honor medal graduating 9th grade. And yes, do not ask. I am terribly happy.

The pictures above were the first set of pictures taken with my 500D plus an EF-S 18-200 lens.

Yesterday was my mom's 44th birthday...

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY MOM!!

And since me and my sister, plus my dad, loves her too much, we put up a surprise for her. My sister and I made her a chocolate cake (which was not perfect), my dad bought 44 white roses, and all of us made her a 'candle light picnic'.

The preparation was so effin hectic. Especially me and my sister. We were panicking while lighting up the candles because apparently, there was not match available in my house. And when the candles are all light up, we had to wait for my mom to come home, and so we were so worried the candles on top of the cake will eventually melt haha. But thank God everything went well and my mom was so surprised and extremely happy with everything we put up just for her. We love you, Mom!

Persie greeted my mom when she entered the house. She was dressed up as a really cute bow tie haha.

WALK-A-THON

Had a tremendously fun Walk-A-Thon!! It's this event from HOPE World Wide, where around 2,000 people walk from Monas to Bunderan HI. It's sort of a campaign for HOPE. I'm not really sure what it is, but I've been participating since few years back. The 5 km walk didn't hurt a muscle, cause all the time we kept on talking and laughing. And due to that, we came in last haha.

I was wearing my thrifted RayBan Wayfarers, the event's oversized shirt, black shorts, violet - striking orange Nike Zoom, and a Diana F+ was dangling on my neck. Does it seem like I'm a typical urban teenager? I mean Wayfarers and Lomo haha. I found it pretty funny yet amusing, cause 2 people from different magazines noticed me. One of them asked for a quick photo, the other asked few questions. Haha.

Anyways, Unit Tests are coming soon!! Daym, so many pressure. I hope I can cope up with everything else that has been going on in my life. Especially the ones that have been neglected for awhile.. Should start before it's too late.

Long time no see!!

I haven't been extremely busy with anything particular, but I've just been busy with my new school. Just with everything in school, that includes homeworks, quizzes, and also my new friends haha. I'm loving BiNus now.

For short updates, I had retreat last weekend. I didn't have enough time to capture lots of pics and yes I am just too lazy to upload them here. It was fun though. Rafting and stargazing was the best.

And... good news. Someone special made me learn one of life's greatest lesson: Accepting things as how it is. I just realized that it has always been my mistake throughout the year. Having not letting go of my past and to always see what people do not have. I am so grateful to have you with me right now. You know who you are :D

So, I guess I'll be posting more pics for the coming weeks. That is IF I have time.

First Day of High School

Finally, the day that I've been waiting has arrived: The First Day of High School. This time, it's different than the current years. Mm, first of all I don't go to SLI anymore, it's Binus International School this time (and I'll be spending the rest of my high school years there). Second, I'm a high school student now!! I bet things will be totally different. Consider that Binus is extremely huge and crowded compared to SLI (obviously), and they're practically more strict (which I hate).

Enough of the crap talk. Let's do the real talk. So, I was effin nervous once I get into my car, heading to Binus. I kept on Tweeting and texting Nata, making sure that I won't be alone once I get there. And Thank God, I did meet her once I get there. Both of us looked like freaks, being all silent and nervous, not knowing what to do except standing in the middle of the crowd, talking about the people we see. Well, at least I'm not standing alone haha.

I came to my class late, cause I had to wait for Nata haha. But, whatever. I thought my Class Advisor would be all nice and friendly, but surprisingly the first thing he said to me was 'Where's your neck tie?' and I was like 'I forgot to bring mine..' Bad bad first impression, watevv.

The whole effin day we had 3 different assemblies. First was the whole Middle School and High School assembly, then the Grade 10 Assembly, last was the High School Assembly. It was soo boring, and my feet hurts like hell, just sittin there for hours. And thanks to the Building Manager for putting my class, 10F, on the 3rd floor, I had to go up and down the stairs a couple of times until I almost break my legs.

Anyways, I'm glad that I made a couple of friends and I'm really hoping for more to come :D

I had an okay day today. First stop went to my parent's project, 50% built. Then off to Kemang, for JPC (Jakarta Photography Center). I was super excited to be gettin an SLR camera, but it didn't happen. My dad already picked the camera, a 500D kit. Together with a pretty good lens (included in the kit). But then arguments went on. Thanks to the extra 2% charge for using credit cards. *Sighs* Pretty sad, I know. And so then we went to Oenpao for dinner and there was a tree on the parking area with a random shoe hanging haha.

Mom: Sepatu apaan tuh, mas?

I laughed my ass off when my mom told me that conversation. HAHA!

So from Saturday to Sunday, I was out to Cisaat, Sukabumi. I wish I could bring my camera while rafting so I can post photos here, but I just couldn't, it'd be too risky haha. Hm, I've got nothing else to say. The place wasn't so bad. Except for the toilets. Damn, it was plainly annoying. But it was still fun, playing Mafia at night, laughing our heads off playing truth or dare.

Summer break is on the verge of ending. So sad. Back to school. New start for me. Sorry I haven't been too updated with my blog. Have been having boring days. Either Life itself or God Himself has been treating me too hard this time. And good news, I just realized how miserable I am doing.

Have you ever felt the pain of letting go something you have been holding on for too long? Well I guess everybody knows letting go ain't easy. But what if you're the only one who is feeling the pain? Hm. Don't answer, I've been dealing with it for too long.

It has been a real decade since I write such things here. It's just that I've been trying to live life with a different point of view, a brighter, more joyful point of view. But I guess going emo for awhile doesn't hurt, right? Especially after a long term break from writing emo lines in long paragraphs (Twitter's 140 characters lines does not count haha.)

Well that's a little bit about my life right now. It may bother you or annoy you, but hey, I'm just trying to live my life with my own way here. That is to write, to capture, to express, to pour out every aspects of my feelings into art. Slash music.

For the mean time, I'm trying as hard as possible to make myself busy with everything I've got. At least until holiday ends. Oh no, I love holidays!

When The Sun is Up High

You see, this is what I love about holidays. Especially when the sun is up up up high. All the laughs, all the chats, all the hyperactive moves haha. I had tons of fun, spending time with Beata and my own sister, Talula at Dharmawangsa Hotel, splashing splashing tons of wet waters.

For the remaining days of holidays, I will be busy composing all I've got to make my own online shop with Theres. We've been busy going back and forth to Mayestik, picking up chains, beads, and all we need to make statement necklaces as our first collection. Saturday Academy

Last Saturday I went to Pedongkelan, North Jakarta. There was a Saturday Academy, I volunteered together with HOPE and my Teens ministry, teaching the kids there. It was extremely fun, we got to teach cute lil' tikes. And I wish I can go there more often.

For the holiday, I have no plan except staying here at Jakarta. Wishing to have fun activities which I will have soon. Shopping, swimming, etc etc etc.

My deepest condolences for Assila's dad, Kol. Inf. Ricky Samuel, who passed away on Monday, on the helicopter accident. We, SLI students, all went to the funeral in Cijantung and then we went to Kalibata, to the Taman Makam Pahlawan.

Hello world. I finally got the guts to write again in this so not satisfying blog haha. Well, life has been great if you bother to care. It has not been dull, but it has not been THAT colorful either. But I have been deeply inspired. By the Word and the amazing people around me that gives me hope in this life. Okay, the people part is a bit exaggerating. But it's kind of true. People or the so-called friends, are the most influential thing in each person's life.

So, as one person have influenced me and made me stand in admiration, this person reminded me with W.W.J.D. Read: What Would Jesus Do?

It may seem simple, but putting it in real situations is a HUGE help. And I just realized that, which is not funny. I have been into so many situations that made me hopeless and just couldn't see the bright side of life anymore. I forgot to ask myself W.W.J.D. I bet if I did, I'd find a faster way to end those problems.

I guess that's it for now. My sister brought my camera to her fieldtrip to Puncak for like 3 effing days, so I couldn't take much pictures during my weekend. That's sad. But I will post some vintage edited photos soon. I'm addicted to it.

A couple of days ago, on Sunday to be exact, I went to Lomography shop in Jl. Bumi. It was a small shop but with loads of lomo cameras. Too bad I couldn't get the chance to take a picture of the shop, I was too busy wandering around haha. But thennn, I got to buy a black and white negative film!! So happy. And I'm planning on buying either a Diana F+ or Holga.

And since yesterday, I have been negotiating with random people on kaskus.us. Annoying people, to be exact. But thenn, I am craving for this Diana F+ Chrome that this guy sells. It's secondhand but in a brand new condition. Hope I can get it soon *sighs*.

So I guess it has been a long time since I last posted something emo. Mm, here it is.

If you're a follower of mine on Twitter, you may realize that I have been such a big mouth, updating my Twitter with loads of words in less than 1 min. Sorry for that. I've been quite in a sudden meltdown. I have not cried but I'm sure I will. Soon. Something's bothering me. And I just gotta find out what that is.

Having only few more weeks left in SLI is saddening. Really. I don't care about how much people wants me to move. What I care is how much I will miss SLI. Hmph. You'll see me soon having puffy red eyes. Don't worry.

Road to SLI CUP III. (part II.)

O-EM-GEE. Can't believe SLI CUP III is tomorrow!!!! Thank God the shirts are finally hereee! I was not really satisfied with the outcome. Well, I'm satisfied with the yellow shirts but not the white shirts. The maroon suddenly evolved into BROWN! I was soo pissed off when I first saw the shirt. But oh well, nothing we can do about it since the event is already freaking tomorrow.

UAN is over!! I had some difficulty doing physics this morning. But as long as UAN is over, I'm 1000% glad. Haha. I had some plans to make a fire out of all of my UAN preparation books, but I don't think that's gonna happen so soon. Laugh out loud.

Hm, I had some thoughts of making a small clothing business. Just a blog-based online store that sells printed t-shirts with coolio designs. What do you think?

UAN has been a minor part of my busy-ness. The majors are SLI CUP III (obviously) and.....SLI CUP III. Haha. Yes, I am just overloaded with everything 'Motion by Muscles'. Got sick with the designs already.

I went to Snapy today to print out the posters and ID cards. Yes, I am utterly satisfied with the outcome :D I think I should take designing seriously. Being an amateur freelance is already a big step in my designing career right now. The rest? We'll see how it'll go *smiles*

Had trouble walking normally, caused by the strenuous basketball practice I had this morning. Phew. SLI CUP III 'Motion by Muscles' is next Friday!! Can't believe it. On Monday I'll be having the national exam, then the school's final exams to follow and then...my last days in SLI.

I do realize that it has been awhile since I last used Photobooth and take pictures of myself to be posted in this blog. So I took some time and had a picture taking of myself. But I hate most of the outcomes, so I am only posting one of them. Well this was taken few days ago, the ones I took just now looked like crap. Oh well. I'm just so in love with black and white.

Hello!

If you realize, I just changed my blog layout. Plus header, plus font, plus font color, etc. I've been extremely bored using Georgia as my font and gray as my font color. And my vintage-ish theme was getting boring. So here it is! Black & white.

I tried to make my blog to look similar like my tumblr (shown above), cause I love my tumblr layout so much. But, oh well. I can't make it THAT similar, since tumblr and blogger is just two different things haha. So, I hope you'll enjoy it!

Another Trip

I've been to so many trips lately. The 'Together We Can' retreat, my field trip to Medan, and last I had to join my parents' retreat, to Puncak. Again. I was kinda forced to, since I really wanted to stay home, designing for SLI CUP III.

Oh well, the 3 days 2 nights trip was kinda fun. I didn't take much pictures, cause I was just too lazy. Pictures I have are only pictures of the villa (shown), and some random pictures.

Medan Escape!

Here's the promised post, my North Sumatra trip recap with my awesome classmates :D

Arriving at Polonia Medan airport:

We had our lunch in a hotel, then we go straight to a weird-looking Catholic church, then off to Crocodile farm! Dayymm, never seen THAT much crocodiles before. PS: we were hysterical seeing them. Screaming and extremely surprised.

Next, it's Rahmat Gallery. It is owned by this 'caleg' dude named Rahmat Syah (however you spell it.) His hobby is hunting, therefore he keeps those animal he hunted down, preserved in this gallery.

We were tired already, but we had to visit one more place: North Sumatra Museum. It was extremely lame. It is nothing to the National Museum in Jakarta. But we had fun there. Took lotsa pictures haha.

Then finally, we can peacefully rest in our 5 stars hotel, Angkasa. We were soo satisfied with the flat-screen TV haha.

Day 2 begins. We leave our hotel, then off to Samosir Island! But the night before, we went to the Supermarket to get some snacks for the 5 hour bus trip.

In the bus:

We had some sneak peak of Lake Toba on the way. We took a boat to Samosir Island. I wanted to posted some pictures taken on the boat, but they're all so lammee. Sorry haha. I'd rather post this picture of the majestic view from our 2 stars hotel. We got a chance to taste the clear waters of Lake Toba.

In the afternoon we went to Tele Tower, where we could see Lake Toba from up up up above. EFFING AWESOME!!! Too bad I couldn't take any good pictures of the scenery cause of my lame digicam :(

OH! Nevermind! I got a good picture of the scenery. But it is taken from this hotel we went to for a late lunch. Still, EFFING AWESOME!

Then we went to Berastagi to rest at a 4 stars hotel. It was okay. But we didn't do much. The last day, we went to a native house and got a chance to go inside. I'm too lazy to post up the picture so yeah. We then had another 2 hour bus trip to Medan. We went to Sun Plaza Medan . Had a couple of snacks, and thennn OFF TO JAKARTA!!

From Medan with Love

Yay! I'm back home from my 4 days 3 nights trip to Medan & some other cities in North Sumatra. Here's a sneak peak for the next post which will be loaded with loads of photos taken there!!

I had a terribly huge amount of fun there, exclude the fact that the only majestic thing I saw was Lake Toba which is shown in the picture above. I'll talk about more of it soon, maybe tomorrow :D

I spent few hours studying for the Mock Exam tomorrow that will be given regarding the National Exam that will be held in 27th of April, if I'm not mistaken. And here's the scenery of my desk.

(1). Holy Bible, I just finished reading a couple of verses from it.

(2). UAN Preparation notes, filled with Biology + Math.

(3). More UAN Preparation notes, filled with MORE Biology.

(4). Cellphone; I was texting haha, couldn't get my eyes sticking to those papers.

(5). Exercise papers.

(6). Pencil case.

And btw, HEY! I've finished my 'Hazardously Talkative' diary, and now I'm moving on to my Grid Moleskine! Haven't had any names for it though, will find one soon. Here are the first 2 pages. Luurrvvingg ittt.

I believe that most of you care about the earth, and have been saying ways to conserve the energy. But the real question is, have you done any of it?

Earth hour is an annual international event that started in Sydney on 2007. Powered by WWF, companies and buildings managed to switch of their lights just for one hour, every last Saturday of March.

This year, let's hope that more countries can join so we can totally save the earth. Here are some videos of the Earth Hour campaign.

GOOD NEWS! Thankfully, the service centre did not take my memory card!!!! I found it in my camera case. Yay!! So I finally able to upload all the photos to facebook and of course, here!

Arriving at the place was already fun. Along the road, we watched the stars, OMG-ing and being extremely hysterical. We've never seen that much stars haha. *lebay* Hm, and I'll be posting crazy photos instead of photos of the activities. So, first, here's our arrival picture.

Day 2, we woke up at 6AM and had lesson from Harliem. It was okay, yet most of us couldn't focus since we were just too sleepy *teehee*. Here are photos of our crazy afternoon.

Having all the tiring games that made us all retarded, we became crazier at night.

Then the guitarist(s) joined. HAHA.

Hello dearest readers.

Sorry I have not been quite updated, since everything has been extremely hectic. I had literacy week last week, and then I had my retreat for the weekend. I wanted to post photos of my retreat, but I can't. My camera is broken and it is at the service centre now, together with the memory card. Silly me.

Anyways, I'm posting this by demand. By Emily, to be exact HAHA. So, be happy Emily that I've updated my blog.

I'm just gonna share to you all what I'm going to do during my Wednesday 'till Friday break. Hm, let me see. Since my dad is in the hospital 'cause of Dengue Fever, I guess I'll be spending some nights there (please pray for my dad so he'll be okay soon). Then on Saturday, Bea might come for a sleepover!! Anyways, I do have an intention of writing this post for someone I've hurt last Friday. Sorry, terribly am. You may not have the heart to forgive, but I have the heart to feel guilty and to feel a refused wholesome apology. I do not mind if you blab to everyone about my flaws and mistakes I've made to you, because I know I'm not perfect, I'm a true human being that makes mistakes every single day. I just hope you can understand how big the words 'I forgive u' is and hope it comes from the deep heart of yours.

A random correction, I should make myself clear about the black top-bottom border, it is not copyrighted anyways, so I guess you readers are free to use it. I do not mind at all now, I guess.

I had this job to do for the my church retreat. I had to design logos for the retreat, like for the retreat's booklet and pins, to be sold for fundraise. It took so much of my energy cause I was just not doing well inside. Hhh. So it came out something like that. It has no connection of 'togetherness', since the theme of the retreat is 'TOGETHER WE CAN'. I was just out of ideas & inspiration. Sorry.

Rachel lent me a book last Friday and I just came across of reading it hahas. Sorry Rach, if you're reading this :D I've been just sooo busy with everything and the book just stayed on my desk LOL. So here's the book. A devotional book that is EXTREMELY inspiring.

I got stabbed when I read this. It is extremely deep. Oh my, especially during these crucial times of mine. I should move along. Here are some lines.

"If he loved you last year when your work for him was flourishing, what does it mean now that you feel that dreaded 'spiritual dryness'? What it meant is wherever you are right now, whatever happened last year, last week or last night, God is for you. He is for you with the same passion he demonstrated at the cross."

I hope it won't just help me alone. By reading this I hope I can inspire someone to do even greater things in God :D Love you all.
